Debbie Weindruch (artist) pays homage to all women who are living with or have lost their lives to ovarian cancer. Debbie’s inspiration comes from her background as a schoolteacher. Using patches of filament paper and gold fabric, she weaves a canvas depicting the richness of these women’s lives. Hand-strung beads reflect their diversity through a variety of textures and sizes. Jodie Kavensky (community leader) is the founder and CEO of NormaLeah Ovarian Cancer initiative and creator of the girlpARTs project. She established the organization after her mother (Norma) and her mother’s sister (Leah) died of ovarian cancer.
