Rowen Schussheim-Anderson and students in Art 253 Fiber Sculpture, Spring Term 2019 at Augustana College (artists) created this dynamic sculpture that imparts the concept of thriving not just surviving after a cancer diagnosis. Rowen’s sister was impacted by breast cancer and the class’s artwork was produced using found objects and collaborative decision-making.

Angie Normoyle (community leader) serves on the Rock Island County Board and is committed to education, the arts, and the community. Her connections to several different cancers have taught her the importance of knowing cancer symptoms and risks.

This sculpture is available for sale. Contact NormaLeah for more information.
